We have completed the construction of a modern production and warehouse facility for the world leader in electronics and household appliances – Samsung Electronics. The facility, with an area of over 60,000 sqm, is located in Wronki, within the Kostrzyńsko-Słubicka SEZ. The factory will house new production lines for white goods, which is why its construction and the solutions used precisely meet the investor’s requirements. The facility is equipped with a mezzanine of more than 23 thousand square metres. This year, it is planned to obtain a BREEAM EXCELLENT certificate, confirming the highest quality of the investment’s implementation and the use of the best construction materials and pro-ecological solutions. In accordance with the purpose of the hall and the need to introduce technological production lines into it, a number of unique system solutions were applied.

This facility, due to its purpose and the technological solutions introduced, required us to have a very precise understanding of the specifics of the future activities to be carried out in it. We had to carefully plan literally every centimetre of the hall and mezzanine area, define its purpose and assign a type of flooring so that it met the requirements of a specific technology and had the appropriate load-bearing capacity. We are satisfied that the design and engineering challenges in this project were successfully achieved.

The new technologies being introduced into industrial facilities are a challenge for architects and engineers. Such solutions have their own characteristics and requirements: the optimum load-bearing capacity of the structural elements, the provision of an adequate surface for collision-free operation or the matching of the interaction of a component with other parts of the infrastructure. The design department and industry specialists at Harden Construction analyse a range of design solutions in order to select and install those that are closely matched to the needs of the production processes and manufacturing technologies expected by the client.
